Ballechin 10 Year Old (70cl, 46%)

Ballechin is a heavily peated single malt from the Edradour distillery, bottled here at 10 years old and 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. The name comes from the neighbouring farm of Edradour, where whisky was once distilled too and which has long served as a warehouse. The nose is sweet and herbal, with a great deal of peat and vanilla. The palate is oily and robust, with peat, light fruit and caramel. The finish is long, sweet and soft.
