This is a 15 year old Ballechin from Edradour in the Highlands, a vatting bottled at cask strength of 59.4% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
Batch #1 of the SBCS bottling is described as bringing out the Ballechin character, the peated style made at Edradour.
The nose combines fruit and wood smoke with peach, orange, peat and spice. On the palate it is full-bodied and oily, with honey sweetness and red fruit that mingles with the smoke. The finish is medium and very round, with sweet smoke, fruit and spice.
