Ballindalloch – Aberdeen Angus 150th Anniversary (50%)

This is a Speyside single malt made to mark 150 years of the Ballindalloch Estate's Aberdeen-Angus herd, which is the oldest pedigree herd of the breed in the world. It is bottled at 50% ABV. Half of the whisky matured in first-fill ex-sherry casks and half in first-fill ex-bourbon casks, and the two were then married. The sherry casks are described as giving dried fruits, warming spice and chocolate, while the bourbon oak adds vanilla, honey, orchard fruits and creamy sweetness.
