Balmenach 2013/2026 is a 12-year-old Speyside single malt bottled by Murray McDavid as part of its Benchmark series. It was distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2026 after maturing in first-fill bourbon barrels. It comes at a cask strength of 57.3% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. Balmenach distillery was founded in 1824.
The nose offers vanilla pod and custard, toasted malted barley and a light biscuit note. On the palate come buttery toffee and honeycomb, with dark fruit, toasted oak, nuts and a subtle woody spice. The finish is soft and round, with warming vanilla that lingers.
