Balvenie – 12 Year Old Sweet Toast of American Oak

Balvenie 12 Year Old Sweet Toast of American Oak is a Speyside single malt that grew from an idea by Kelsey McKechnie, then Malt Master in training at Balvenie. She had virgin oak casks from Kentucky heavily blackened, then filled them with Balvenie whisky matured in ex-bourbon casks. The result is described as delicate yet complex, with sugared candy, coconut and soft vanilla, along with softer touches of malt, citrus, oak, spices and brown sugar.
