Balvenie 14 Year Old Caribbean Cask

The Balvenie Caribbean Cask is a 14 year old Speyside single malt. It was matured in traditional oak whisky casks, then finished in casks that had previously held Caribbean rum. For the finish, Malt Master David Stewart filled American oak casks with his own blend of select West Indian rums. Once he judged them ready, the rum was emptied out and the 14 year old whisky went in. The result keeps the smooth, honeyed character of The Balvenie, with toffee and a hint of fruit, and a warm, lingering finish.
