Balvenie 16 Year Old French Oak is a Speyside single malt, first introduced in 2022 and bottled by the distillery at 47.6% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky is aged for 16 years in traditional American oak casks, then finished for several months in casks that previously held Pineau de Charentes, a French fortified wine. The bottling strength lets a grapey sweetness come through.
