The Week of Peat is a 14 year old Balvenie single malt bottled at 48.3% abv, in a 70cl bottle. It began when distillery manager Ian Millar noticed a week's gap in the production schedule and had Speyside peat brought in for the kiln. One week each year, Balvenie distils a batch of peated malt. The result is a whisky rich in honey, vanilla and citrus, with an extra layer of delicate smokiness. The nose is gentle, sweet peat smoke with light floral notes and butterscotch honey. The palate is velvety and round, with peat smoke balancing citrus, oaky vanilla and blossom honey. The finish is gentle, with smoke and lingering creamy vanilla sweetness.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
