Banff 1975 is a single malt from Gordon & Macphail's Private Collection, selected by members of the Urquhart family. It was distilled in 1975, matured in a refill American hogshead and bottled in 2021 at 48.6%, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose has dried banana, candied lime peel and soft black liquorice, followed by vanilla custard, white pepper and green apple. On the palate come lemon zest, faint marzipan, honeydew melon, cut grass and a hint of spiced orange. The finish is medium-bodied, with citrus fruit and soft spice.
