A Barbera d'Asti DOCG that shows the character of the grape and the Asti area. It is ruby red, dark but transparent, with fresh red and black berry aromas of cherry and plum, plus subtle spicy and balsamic notes. The palate has lively acidity, soft tannins and good persistence, with a balanced, pleasant finish. Serve at around 16-18 C, opening a few minutes beforehand, with cured meats, pasta with ragu, grilled meats and medium-aged cheeses.
