Bardstown Bourbon Company Fusion Series #6 is the sixth release in a series built around blending. This 2021 release is bottled at 48.95% ABV.
It combines 70% three-year-old bourbon distilled at Bardstown with 30% sourced Kentucky bourbon aged 11 years. The younger part is made from two mash bills, both 75% corn, with either 21% rye and 4% malted barley or 15% rye and 10% malted barley. The older bourbon is 75% corn, 13% rye and 12% malted barley.
Baked apples with toffee, walnut and cinnamon lead to rich maple and lively spice, with a smooth finish.
