A German honey liqueur made from neutral grain spirit and natural honey, spiced with subtle botanicals. It contains about 225 grams of honey per 750 ml bottle and is bottled at 35% ABV. The liqueur has a warm, sweet, honey-forward flavour and can be served neat, over ice or used in cocktails. It is produced by Schwarze & Schlichte and is based on the traditional German Bärenfang style.
Tasting Notes
Very sweet honey note, thick and rich, with floral honey blossoms, faint botanical spices and warming alcohol.
Strong honey sweetness with a smooth, syrupy texture, spice hints such as clove, herbal undertones and slight citrus or orange blossom character.
Long sweet tail with lingering honey, moderate alcohol warmth and light spice and herbal notes.
