Lo-Fi Gentian Amaro (75cl, 17.5%)

Lo-Fi Gentian Amaro is a bright, floral and citrus-led amaro with crisp bitterness grounded in gentian root and cinchona bark. It is produced by Lo-Fi Aperitifs in Napa, California, using a white wine base fortified with neutral grape spirits. The amaro is infused with botanicals including gentian root, cinchona bark, orange oil, hibiscus, grapefruit, ginger, exotic flowers, rosewood-type flavour, bitter root extracts and others. It is sweetened with cane sugar and grape concentrate for a richer mouthfeel. On the nose there are sweet citrus fruit, ginger, exotic flowers and subtle spices. The palate opens with clean gentian bitterness and a medicinal cinchona note, then layers of citrus, mild bitterness, floral and spice undertones, balanced by a touch of sweetness. The finish is bitter-citrus with spice and botanical elements fading cleanly.
