Barolo La Morra DOCG - Crissante Alessandria

A Barolo from La Morra, produced by Crissante Alessandria in the Langhe area of Piedmont. It is made from Nebbiolo grown in the estate's best vineyards, with vinification that respects local tradition while introducing innovations to highlight varietal character. La Morra's calcareous and clay soils give the wine delicate tannic structure and intensely floral and fruity aromas. Ageing in wood adds vanilla and tobacco notes. On the palate it shows fine tannins, lively acidity, elegance and harmony, with a long, persistent finish. It suits rich, savoury dishes such as red meat, truffle dishes, game and aged cheeses, and can evolve well over time.
