Barr Hill Reserve Tom Cat Barrel-Aged Gin (47%)

A barrel-aged gin produced by Caledonia Spirits in Montpelier, Vermont. After distillation, it is rested in oak barrels for an extended period, integrating honey-influenced botanicals, juniper, citrus and spice with barrel-derived vanilla, toasted oak, nutmeg and cinnamon. Wildflower honey from the distillery's own apiary reinforces a subtle sweetness. The nose shows vanilla, warm oak spice, honeyed citrus zest, dry juniper, toasted almond and baking spice. The palate is plush yet balanced, with bright citrus, honey, oak-derived vanilla, cinnamon and toasted wood spice over a botanical backbone. The finish is medium-long and gently warming, with oak spice, honey and citrus peel.
