Barrell Craft Spirits Gray Label Aged 24 Years (75cl, 60.8%)

Barrell Craft Spirits Gray Label is a 24-year-old Canadian whisky in a 75cl bottle, bottled at 60.82% ABV. It began with two selections of 24-year-old Canadian whisky barrels, one fruit-forward and tropical, the other woody with a light floral aroma. Part of the fruit-forward selection moved into Oloroso sherry barrels and part of the floral, earthy selection into Armagnac casks. The remaining whisky from both groups was left to mingle, and the three components were then blended together once the finishing casks had peaked. The nose is mature and spicy, recalling wheat fields edged with wildflowers, with a candy sweetness and leafy earthiness from the finishing casks, like a toasty Belgian waffle.
