Basil Hayden's 10 Year is a Kentucky straight rye whiskey in a 75cl bottle, bottled at 40% ABV. It is the first rye from Basil Hayden's to carry an age statement of this length.
The mashbill is a slightly spicy but approachable rye, and the whiskey has a golden honey colour.
The nose is sweet vanilla and oak with a touch of light fruit. The palate shows approachable spice and oak with hints of caramel, and the finish brings faint tobacco and warm cinnamon heat.
