Basil Hayden's Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey (70cl, 40%)

A Kentucky straight bourbon from Basil Hayden's, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle and described as a small batch whiskey. Its style goes back to 1796, when Master Distiller Basil Hayden Sr. mixed small grains into a traditional corn-based mash, expecting the spice of rye to set off the sweetness of corn. It is described as having hints of peppermint, notes of pepper and slight citrus overtones, with a spicy, warming finish.
