Basil Hayden's – 'Toast' Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Basil Hayden's Toast is a Kentucky straight bourbon made with brown rice and finished in toasted barrels. On the nose there are cereal grains, freeze-dried strawberries, toasted herbs, blueberries and fruity bubble gum. The palate is creamy and light, with strawberry yogurt, bitter chocolate and burnt sugar. The finish is syrupy, bringing custard, tiramisu and caramel flan. The profile is unusual and at times light-bodied, but the whiskey is well controlled and easy to drink.
