Ben Nevis – 10 Year Old (70cl, 46%)

This is a 10 year old Highland whisky from the Ben Nevis distillery in Fort William, at the foot of Britain's highest mountain. John MacDonald, known as Long John, founded the distillery in 1825, and it has belonged to Nikka Distillers of Japan since 1989. The whisky matured in first fill bourbon and sherry casks, and it is bottled at 46%. It is described as having muesli, honey and beeswax, with a touch of citrus fruit and bitter dark chocolate.
