This Ben Nevis was distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2025 after 12 years in a PX sherry hogshead. It was bottled by the independent bottler The Whisky Chamber at 55.1%, in a 50cl bottle, and the outturn is 300 bottles.
The nose combines sherry, dark berries and a delicate scent of elder. The palate opens sweet, then turns drier and more complex, with elder, woodruff and a hint of porridge giving a soft, almost velvety texture. The finish is long and floral with elder, easing into a malty close.
