BenRiach – 10th Anniversary 10 Year Old

A 10 year old single malt from BenRiach, released to mark ten years since the distillery became independent in 2004, when it was bought by Billy Walker, Wayne Kieswetter and Geoff Bell. Master distiller Billy Walker blended four bourbon casks, numbers 7257, 7258, 7259 and 7260, all distilled and filled on 21 September 2004. The colour is a glistening gold. The nose has ripe pear, fruit syrup and thick cream with candied fruit and soft vanilla. On the palate come fresh barley and a touch of toasted oak, moving into ginger, crème brûlée, coconut and poached pear with vanilla.
