A 13 year old Benriach made from heavily peated malt and matured in an American oak hogshead. It was distilled in 2010 and bottled at a natural cask strength of 63.4%. Milroy's selected the cask for its Soho Selection series. Benriach itself was founded in 1898 by John Duff in northern Speyside, on the site of the former Riach Farm. It is described as heavily smoky with a surprising coastal side, with notes of oyster shell, bacon and sweet plantain wrapped in rich, earthy smoke.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
