A single malt from Benriach, matured for 18 years in an ex-refill bourbon hogshead. It was bottled at its natural cask strength of 49.8% ABV, with no added colour and no chill filtration.
The hogshead, cask number 103, yielded 109 bottles, fewer than had been expected. The long maturation is described as adding complexity and depth, and the whisky as rich, balanced and full of character.
