This Benriach is a 17-year-old Speyside single malt, distilled on 11 May 2007 and matured in a refill hogshead. Thompson Bros. bottled it in October 2024 at 47.3%, filling 296 bottles. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose combines dried apricot, fresh lime, honey and ginger, with a vegetal note recalling cachaça and a slightly sour fruit gum character. On the palate, honeyed malt and stone fruit meet green grapes, yellow plums and white pepper. The finish is salty and slightly wild, and both impressions linger.
