BenRiach 2009 is an 11 year old single cask single malt, distilled on 22 June 2009 and bottled in 2020. It was matured fully in a Pedro Ximénez puncheon, and 689 bottles were filled at a cask strength of 56.5% in 70cl bottles.
The sweetness of the Pedro Ximénez sits on top of the fruitiness associated with BenRiach.
It is described as rich, dark and syrupy, with raisins, figs, dark fruit, chocolate and caramel, and a gentle, spicy warmth.
