BenRiach – 21 Year Old Four Cask Maturation (46%)

BenRiach 21 Year Old Four Cask Maturation is a Speyside single malt bottled at 46% ABV. It is matured in four types of cask: bourbon, virgin oak, Pedro Ximénez sherry and red wine. Master Blender Rachel Barrie selected and combined them, with the bourbon casks adding vanilla sweetness, virgin oak a spicy depth, sherry chocolate and raisin tones, and red wine casks berry fruit and a little tannin. The nose is summer fruits with ginger and spiced oak. Vanilla and cinnamon meet red fruit and citrus on the palate, and the long finish carries honey, malted barley and icing sugar.
