Arwen is a single cask Benriach, eight years old, distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2021 for The Stillman's 2021 collection. It was matured in a sherry butt, cask 144, which gave 224 bottles at 55.3% ABV, in a 70cl size.
The whisky is bottled at cask strength, undiluted, non-chill-filtered and with natural colour. It was selected and bottled by The Stillman's.
The nose is buttery crumble, baked waffles with whipped cream and vanilla sugar, milk chocolate, crème brûlée and juicy fruit, with a touch of pomace. The palate is young and crisp, with cake batter, milk chocolate, fruit, almonds and walnuts. The finish is light and pleasant, with walnuts.
