BenRiach Cask Strength Batch 2 is a Speyside single malt bottled at 60.6%. It comes from the distillery's Cask Strength series of small batch releases, which are not chill-filtered and have no added colour.
Batch 2 was matured in three types of cask: Oloroso sherry casks, virgin oak hogsheads and bourbon barrels.
The nose offers toffee and apple with apricot, orange, floral notes and a light edge of ginger and barley. The palate is creamy caramel, milk chocolate and sugared almonds, with ripe nectarine and citrus. The finish is long, with honey, vanilla, candied orange peel and a hint of green apple.
