Benriach Malting Season Batch 2 is a single malt bottled at 48.9% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is the second edition of a yearly release made with barley malted by hand on the distillery's own historic malting floor, using Concerto barley.
The spirit was distilled in autumn 2013 and matured in first fill bourbon barrels in an earthen-floored warehouse, before bottling in 2022.
The nose is rich malt sweetness with barley sugar and creamy white chocolate. The palate is smooth honeycomb with citrus and orchard apple, and the finish is fruit, malt and vanilla.
