BenRiach – Single Malt (Older Edition) (70cl)

This is a BenRiach single malt Scotch whisky from the distillery's earlier presentation, before its range was reorganised, in a 70cl bottle. BenRiach was founded in 1898 near Elgin in Speyside, and uses water from the Burnside springs. This expression is unpeated and carries no age statement. Its character is fruity, sweet and malty, with apple, pear, vanilla, honey and nuts, and gentle spice and oak. The nose has apple, pear and ripe fruit with vanilla, honey, soft floral notes and sweet malt. The palate is soft and balanced, with orchard fruit, honey, vanilla and caramel, and a creamy texture. The finish is medium, clean and lightly sweet, with vanilla, ripe fruit, honey and gentle oak.
