BenRiach Smoke Season is a peated Speyside single malt at 52.8% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It is a limited edition with no age statement, bottled without dilution, non-chill-filtered and with no added colour.
The whisky was distilled during the distillery's annual smoke season, when malted barley dried with peat is used. It was matured in first-fill bourbon barrels and virgin American oak.
The nose is sweet smoke, creamy caramel, green apple, toasted vanilla and warm spice. On the palate come peat, brown sugar, orange peel, honey and spiced oak. The finish is long, warm and slightly dry, with peat returning alongside dark chocolate and spice.
