Benriach The Smoky Twelve is a single malt made from a combination of unpeated and peated spirit, in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV. It has spent at least 12 years in three types of cask: bourbon barrels, sherry casks and marsala wine casks. The whisky from each is then married together. The colour is burnished gold.
The nose offers smoked vanilla, charred orange and toasted almonds. On the palate come dark chocolate, fruit peel, brown sugar and smoked oak, leading into a finish of cocoa and smoked orange.
