BenRiach The Thirty is a 30 year old Speyside single malt, bottled at 46% ABV. It was matured in a mix of sherry, bourbon, virgin oak and port casks, the port coming from the Douro Valley. It is made from peated malt and was put together by master blender Rachel Barrie.
The colour is mahogany. The nose brings stewed plum, baked orange, smoked walnut and cinnamon cocoa. On the palate there is dark fruit, manuka honey and chocolate raisin, followed by a long, complex finish of smoky honey.
