Benriach – The Twelve 12 Year Old Tree Cask Matured

Benriach The Twelve is a 12 year old single malt from Benriach, described as full, soft and flavourful. It is matured mainly in sherry casks, with a smaller share of whisky from bourbon and port casks. The aromas come in layers: baked fruit, maple honey, sweetness and lingering spice from the oak. The nose brings maple honey with cocoa and baked berries. On the palate there are cherry and orange notes with hazelnuts and lingering spice, and the finish is spicy mocha.
