Pedro Ximenez butt
This is a 13 year old Benriach from Speyside, bottled by Berry Bros & Rudd from a single cask at 60.7% in a 70cl bottle. It spent the last two years of its life in a sweet ex Pedro Ximenez butt. The nose is spicy, with sticky gingerbread, clove rock and liquorice; a little water brings out juicy pear and a touch of underripe mango. At full strength the palate is slightly drying, with ginger, pepper and sweet plum wine. With time and dilution it shows layers of fruit, spice and a touch of oak.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
