Blue Hanger 26 Year Old is the 14th Limited Release of this blended malt from Berry Bros. & Rudd. It is a vatting of single malts matured for 26 years, chosen by Spirits Curator Felix Dear for their character. The name honours William 'Blue Hanger', the third Lord Coleraine and a long-standing customer of the London merchant. Just 2,500 bottles were filled, at 45.6% without chill-filtration or added colour. The nose shows milk chocolate, crème caramel and candied citrus zest, with stewed orchard fruit and fine spice. The palate is soft and velvety, with golden barley, ripe fruit and baking spices. The finish is long, with spiced pastry, fine oak and lingering chocolate.
