This is Craigellachie 10 Year Old, a Speyside single malt selected and bottled by Berry Bros. & Rudd from a single refill butt, cask 2949. It was distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2023 at 54.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle, with 434 bottles drawn from the cask.
The refill cask leaves the distillery character prominent, giving a full-bodied malt with nutty richness and earthy complexity.
The nose is soft caramel and earthy vanilla with dried fruit and ripe orchard fruit. On the palate come almonds, rich caramel, creamy malt and warming oak, and the finish is long and creamy, with caramel, toasted nuts and gentle oak.
