Bimber – 10 Year Old 2016/2026 London Whisky 50th Anniversary Ex-Bourbon Cask #74 (70cl, 57%)

This is a 10-year-old single malt from the Bimber distillery in London, released as a 50th anniversary edition. It is the first Bimber bottling to reach ten years. It was distilled in 2016 and bottled in 2026 from a single ex-bourbon cask, number 74, which gave 251 bottles at a cask strength of 57%. It is made from English barley, fermented for seven days in open vats and distilled in direct-fired copper stills. It is bottled without added colour and without chill-filtration, in a black and gold cylindrical box. Cherry runs through the nose, with honey sweetness and vanilla. The palate is full, with juicy cherry, gentle malt and caramel, and the finish brings restrained oak spice.
