Bimber – Re-charred Oak Casks Small Batch #1 English Single Malt Whisky (2016-2019) (70cl, 51.9%)

Re-charred Oak Casks Small Batch #1 is an English single malt from Bimber, a London distillery. It is the second release of its kind from Bimber, bottled at 51.9% in a 70cl bottle, with 5000 bottles filled. The whisky was matured in charred American oak casks, and the first casks were laid down on 26 May 2016. Bimber was set up in 2015 by Dariusz Plazewski and Ewelina Chruszczyk after they emigrated from Poland. The name is the Polish word for moonshine, a nod to his family's roots in moonshine production. Fermentation takes place in wooden washbacks of the distillery's own design.
