Black Bull Kyloe (70cl, 50%)

Black Bull Kyloe is a blended Scotch whisky that combines malt and grain whiskies, with a high proportion of malt. Duncan Taylor bottles it at 50%, without chill-filtration or added colour. The name refers to Kyloe cattle, a breed adapted to the harsh climate of the Scottish Highlands and islands. The whisky is not smoky. On the nose there is caramelised apple, pear and clementine with brown sugar and toasted oak. The palate brings hazelnuts and milk chocolate alongside malt and raisins. The finish is medium to long, fading into vanilla, cream and oak.
