This is a Linkwood single malt from Speyside, distilled in September 2010 and bottled in December 2022 after 12 years in the cask. It was finished in a PX sherry cask and bottled at 59.2% ABV as part of Blackadder's Raw Cask range, in an edition of 277 bottles.
It is unfiltered and uncoloured, and visible cask residue is left in the bottle.
The nose offers ripe apple, honey, vanilla and soft floral notes, with raisins, figs and a touch of cocoa from the sherry. The palate is full, creamy and oily, with malt, dried fruit, nuts and spicy wood. The finish is long, gently spicy and rounded.
