This Blair Athol was distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2023 at ten years old, as part of The Old Friends series. It is a single malt in a 70cl bottle at 58.4% ABV, limited to 175 bottles.
It matured in a first-fill Madeira hogshead, giving a creamy malt with fine fruit and milk chocolate.
The nose is dark red berries, dried fruit and delicate milk chocolate. The palate is full and creamy, with dark blackberries, fine wine notes and a touch of chocolate. The finish is long, with fruit, a dark sweetness and fine oak.
