A single cask, cask strength single malt from Blair Athol in the southern Highlands, bottled by Blackadder. It was distilled in 2013, matured in a refill barrique and bottled in 2025 at 60.5% ABV. The outturn was 261 bottles of 70cl.
Blair Athol is known for full-bodied, malty and nutty-spicy whiskies, and the refill cask lets that character come through without heavy oak influence.
Toffee, malt sugar and creamy vanilla lead, followed by dried fruits, nuts and a little oak spice, with an oily, rich mouthfeel.
