Blair Athol – 15 Year Old (That Boutique-y Whisky Company) (70cl, 50.1%)

This is a 15 year old Highland single malt from Blair Athol, an independent bottling by That Boutique-y Whisky Company. It is bottled at 50.1% ABV without chill filtration, in a 70cl bottle. Blair Athol is distilled in the foothills of Pitlochry and uses water from the Allt Dour burn. The nose has stewed fruits, honeyed malt, roasted nuts and soft spice, with a hint of herbal dryness. The palate is full-bodied, with caramelised apple, dried apricot, malty sweetness and oak spice. The finish is long and warm, with malt, spice, dried fruit and gentle oak.
