This is a 16 year old Highland single malt from Blair Athol, distilled in 2008 and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength range. It is a UK exclusive in a 70cl bottle at 57.8% ABV.
It matured for 16 years in a single first fill sherry hogshead, cask 18601602, and was bottled in August 2024. 313 bottles were produced.
The nose is fragrant, with raisin, tangerine and clove spice. On the palate there is stewed forest fruit, toasted walnut and pressed apple, and the full finish brings raspberry compote and fresh mint.
