This is the second batch of a Blair Athol single malt made for the distillery. It is a vatting of ex-wine barriques and heavily charred American oak casks, bottled in 2023 at 48% abv.
The mouthfeel is oily and well integrated, with a spicy, fruity lead. Citrus, dried fruit and nutty aromas carry through to the palate, where red fruits, cinnamon and oak join them.
The finish is medium to long, with ginger spice and burnt toffee.
