Blair Athol – 2008 14 Years Single Cask 11083 Cask Strength (Berry Bros & Rudd) (52.1%)

This is a 14 year old single malt from Blair Athol, the Perthshire distillery in Pitlochry, distilled in 2008. It comes from a single cask, number 11083, and was bottled by Berry Bros & Rudd at a cask strength of 52.1%. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. On the nose, sweet apricot comes with figs, almonds and spiced jam, and with time green apple and cinnamon appear. The palate deepens the apricot and adds dried fruit, stewed apple and pear. The finish is full and warm, with baking spices and oak.
