This is the 39th release from the independent bottler Mossburn, a 16 year old single malt from Blair Athol distillery in Pitlochry. It was distilled in 2008, aged in oloroso sherry casks, and bottled at cask strength on 3 March 2025 at 54.1% ABV.
The whisky is a rich, oily Highland malt with a deep sherry character. Roasted nuts, dried fruit, dark chocolate, leather and spice are the flavours usually noted.
