Blanton's Original is a single barrel Kentucky bourbon. Blanton's introduced single barrel bourbon in 1984, when Elmer T. Lee presented it a year before he retired, and it was the world's first. A horse and jockey sit atop each bottle stopper, a nod to Kentucky's horse heritage. The nose is creamy vanilla with caramel, butterscotch and baking spices such as clove, nutmeg and cinnamon. The palate is sweet, with citrus and oak.
